Creature Commandos: An Interesting Release Date Has Been Teased for the Animated Series
Fresh off the heels of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, a movie that marked the end of the DCEU. Comes Creature Commandos, the first offering of the DCU.
Creature Commandos looks to tell the story of monstrous individuals who might likely serve as competition for the Suicide Squad.
With plot details and more info still yet to surface. Other than the roster and cast list for the eponymous team.
Co-Ceo of DC Studios, James Gunn has now teased a possible release date for the 7-part animated series.
When asked on social media when audience will be treated to the show. The filmmaker replied with “later”. While this could mean the show could fall anywhere from mid-2024 to late-2024. Speculation is high towards a late-2024 release. Particularly one set in the last quarter/fall of the year 2024.
More Than Meets the Eye
On the surface, a late 2024 release means the post-production team has more time to work on the series. As there was some concern that the series might not meet up with its intended 2024 release, and would instead be pushed to 2025.
In that time since, James Gunn has quieted the doubts & concerns by assuring all of the show making its intended 2024 release. But now that a possible fall 2024 release is in the cards. What makes it intriguing?.
Well, a Fall-2024 release means the animated series gets to premiere sometime between September or October. Interestingly, if it were to premiere in October, it would thematically be on brand for the show.
Judging by the obvious fact the October is home to Halloween celebrations and this is in fact an animated show about monsters.
Thus being something the entire family could gather and enjoy. After a long day’s celebration of Halloween as opposed to if the show were in live action.
