It’s Very Unlikely We Won’t Get this Character in Captain America: Brave New World
As Sam Wilson’s Captain America gears up for his big screen reveal. He too like his predecessor, Steve Rogers will be joined by a number of supporting characters. Who will most likely be influenced by the hero to help him overcome whatever threat the creatives have penned down.
Amongst the host of supporting characters that will join this new iteration of Captain America. One holds more prominence than the others. At least in this article.
That being said, the personality being referred to is, Elijah Bradley. Who many will know as the grandson of Isaiah Bradley from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier miniseries.
His appearance in this feature was more or less a given. Considering a recurring theme we’ve seen across multiple MCU projects. Upon entry into this new saga.
As a way of prepping the older heroes for a legacy status, either partially or completely. A number these heroes have begun mentoring a number of youngersters. Either intentionally or inadvertently.
Therefore, Elijah’s presence in Captain America 4 will have to get the ball rolling on his journey to become Patriot.
Why Brave New World will Do a Better Job
In the comics, the tale of Elijah’s Patriot persona is more likened to that of Ms. Marvel. That is, the youngster simply idolized Steve Rogers’ Captain America. That he ended up making himself a younger version of that. So much so that the character has even led the Young Avengers, similar to how Steve has led the Avengers.
But with Brave New World, Sam and Elijah could pull on their previous encounters as well as their racial affinity to develop a partnership that feels more familial and brother-like.
Something we haven’t really seen with other Mentor-Protege relationships in the MCU.
Captain America: Brave New World opens in cinemas February 14, 2025.
