The Entry of Blue Beetle into the DCU Comes into View
The DCU has been confirmed to be developing a Teen Titans feature. Which of course, has sent the internet into a frenzy. As to which members Gunn and company might decide to use to make up the titular team’s roster.
A name that has come up understandably to make the roster for the DCU Iteration is Blue Beetle. Seeing as the character has already made his big screen introduction and has been absorbed into the DCU. Also it doesn’t hurt that the character has of course been a member of the titular team in other media. Namely comics and animated films.
The character’s potential inclusion into the DCU Teen Titans roster also gives credence to the actor Xolo Mariduena’s comments. Which have stated that even though another solo feature may be a ways off. The character’s appearance is the DCU is imminent.
Judging by how Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer, Ana Nogueira was attached to script the feature just as the project was confirmed. Shows that the project could indeed be a priority project for the DCU. Despite its recent announcement when compared to other projects within the Chapter 1 slate of the DCU.
Whatever the case, Blue Beetle is set to return in the DCU.
