The MCU Back to Winning Ways?

The MCU has been known to top entertainment headlines for years now. Especially since the advent of serialised narratives/series to their catalogue. Thus offering a multi-cinematic experience.

However, in recent times, the franchise’s overall quality has been generally deemed to be underperforming. Even till now.

But this past week, upcoming project reveals from the franchise seems to have put the MCU on a good standing with the general audience.


So it shouldn’t go without saying that future offerings from the MCU is currently on everyone’s cinematic anticipatory radar.



As for the project reveals that saw the light of day. They include the following:

A teaser trailer for Deadpool threequel titled – Deadpool & Wolverine.



A trailer for the MCU’s second animated outing and full fledged mutant project titled – X-Men ’97.



An animated poster displaying Marvel’s first family to be portrayed by a new cast titled – The Fantastic Four.


The first case of the teaser trailer release of Deadpool & Wolverine is especially notable. As various media outlets have confirmed the views for the upcoming feature has beaten out Spider-Man: No Way Home.

As the year continues, more reveals are sure to come forth. Particularly for those projects that got pushed up the calendar due to the strikes amongst other delays.

In all, the MCU seems to be headed towards a better place. After their bitter experience with box office and critical downturns in 2023.
Only time will tell if they can sustain or if this is only a spark that refuses to ignite.

Deadpool & Wolverine opens in cinemas July 26, 2024.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled for theatrical release July 25, 2025.

X-Men ’97 begins streaming on Disney+ March 20, 2023.
